It really doesn’t matter whether you’ve lived in England all your life or you’re visiting from afar, you’ll discover plenty of countryside lanes, coastal trails and historic towns to invigorate even the most wizened of world-weary travellers. If you’re looking to immerse yourself in city life then London is your answer, but if that’s a little too big or busy for you then head north to Leeds or Liverpool for almost everything our capital has to offer but on a smaller scale.
